changing visa time period after arriving in uk

hi

i have applied for tier-1 G before 6th april. I am in uk now and working here.

I have got the visa of 2.5 years and i have read that i will be granted the extension of 2 years later on which wont help in getting ILR.

Can any one tell me if i can ask home office to extend my current visa for 6 more months, RIGHT NOW while im in uk?

This should have been brought to the notice of the local BHC in the country you applied in.

UKBA (in the UK) cannot issue a leave to enter (entry clearance) so don't think they can do anything about it, but do check. Though it seems a bit too late, write to the local BHC who issued the visa.
