In country switch from visitor to Tier 1 Dependent

Post by nerveblock » Sat Sep 18, 2010 1:02 pm

I hold a tier 1 HSMP which finishes 5 years in Dec 2011. I am getting married in Nov 2010 in India and since my fiancee holds a visitor visa valid till 14 Jan 2010 I was wondering if there is an arrangement for her to accompany me on visitor visa and then we apply for Tier 1 Dependent here in UK. Or does she have to return to apply for entry clearance from India. Any recent timelines, advice for visa from VFS Delhi appreciated

I presume you meant 2011 .. but any case you can't switch from visitor visa category to dependant, she would need to return to home country and apply[/quote]
