Marriage certificate

Post by nagaraj » Sun Sep 12, 2010 5:17 am

Hi All,

I am married on 0ct 2007 but still not included my wife name in my passport or my name in her passport. I am now applying for UK tier1 in Oct 2010, should i need to attach my marriage certificate in the documents.

Please advice.
Thanks,
Nagaraj.

Marriage certificate

Post by Pranvayu » Sun Sep 12, 2010 9:12 am

Hi,

Marriage Certificate is a must if you're applying jointly or if your spouse will accompany you later. Better to be upfront and honest about everything and if you're married then certificate should be included in your application.

Hi Sushdmehta,

Please can I clarify that you're saying that Marriage certificat is not required or that the name is not required to be on the passport?

I reckon you're saying that the name is not required in the passport but marriage certificate is a must right?

Cheers,

I have not provided my marriage certificate in my application.

Also, I have mentioned that my spouse will not be accompanying me in the next 12 months.

I hope that should be fine. I haven't heard any 'Main' applicant getting rejected for want of a marriage certificate.
Thanks,
Sumit.

Hi Sumit,

if we declare that my wife will not be joining with in next 12 months and later if she wants to join with in 12 months, is it possible and will not be any problem while applying dependent visa for her?

If you explored any answers to these things, please share with me.

Thanks
Mahesh
