Bringing adult daughter into the country

Post by nitin_malik » Sun Sep 19, 2010 7:59 pm

Good day,

I need some advise for one of my friends.

He, his wife and one daughter have a british passport and have been residing here for about 9 years. His elder daughter is 23 years old, divorced and is residing in India alone due to this situation, however he is trying to get her into the UK to stay with them permanently here.

What can he do to get her to come and stay with them permanently. Now she is visiting them on a tourist visa and stays here for 5 months and then has to return back to India.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Many Thanks.

If the daughter qualifies for a visa it will be in her own right, and not because of her relatives in the UK. Quite simply she is clearly an adult.
