HSBC Bank Statements

Post by humble_soldier » Tue Sep 21, 2010 4:13 pm

Hi guys,

I get quarterly statements from HSBC. My last quarterly statement will read 23 November, and I will only be able to apply on 10 December, when my final salary payment occurs.

Should I change my statements to monthly statements, or is quarterly OK?

Also, since the final statement would only be a printed out statement till December 10, will this be a problem?

What about HSBC not willing to sign & stamp or to provide supporting letters?

Hi humble_soldier

The day before you apply, go to HSBC with your last quarterly statement and ask for printouts on letterhead from the date of your last original statement to date. HSBC does not unfortunately sign their printouts, but as long as it's on letterhead and (usually) stamped, it shouldn't be a problem.

Then just submit all of your original quarterly statements, together with the printouts on letterhead for the required period. This should be sufficient. :)

Good luck!

I'm with HSBC in Australia.

I was able to call HSBC and request them to change my statement frequency and even request when when i wanted the next statement generated although it did not cover an entire month.

From posts it seems like HSBC will not stamp statements in the UK however HSBC in Australia had no problems in stamping and signing statements. They would not however write a customised letter to confirm maintenance funds.

It shouldnt be a problem if you

Hi Ikpone, thanks for your response!

I have changed the frequency to which I receive statements from quarterly to monthly now.

Can I supply a hybrid of quarterly and monthly statements of the same account to the Home Office?

Yes you can. I had explanation page for each criteria and for earnings and maintenance funds I listed bankstatements relevant. Made a not that particular bank statement is monthly since you made a frayed to change frequency and any one after that may not cover full month explain it is a
Requested statement stamped and verified by the bank.

The simpler you present the application to them and explain any aspect - the quicker you have it accessed.

I just got my application approved in 2 days and I know my presentation and explanations made it quicker.
