Surname on Degree Certificate has a missing alphabet "A

Post by Kbhosle » Thu Sep 30, 2010 5:45 pm

Hi,

I am planning to apply for Tier 1 General visa. I have one query, my surname on my degree certificate has a alphabet "A" missing.

Surname on Degree Cert: "BHOSLE"
Surname on Passport: "BHOSALE"

In March though I had applied for Tier 2 Intra Company Visa where in I had submitted a Affidavit stating that both the surnames belong to the same person.
I had no issues for Tier 2 visa that time.

Please can someone help me regarding this, whether I need to submit any other letters or will the affidavit be sufficient.

regards,
Kamlesh Bhosale

You really need to decide whether you are happy to take the risk or want to invest some time and energy in getting a mistake in a very important document corrected.

What do the guys from south India do, because they usually have these issues with their surnames.

Can a letter from the University help stating that this certificate belongs to the same person.

Kamlesh

why dont you go to university and submit ,birth certificate ,10th and 10+2 certificates saying the surname was wrong on the university memo, they will change it for you,in order to quicken the process you should know some one
who works in university.

Simple resolution - Go to the university and get it corrected. It's time you attack the root cause of the problem! :)
