Experience verification - how?

Post by rg1 » Tue Apr 11, 2006 5:32 pm

How do they actually do it?

Do they fax the reference letter to employer?

If they do it, it is risky for applicants! I think many people apply without letting know their employer.

I agree and doubt whether the caseworkers will call the employer. Many case that the applicants will not let the employer know first as if let say the application is not successful then it may jeorpardized the future of the applicants in his current company. It's just like going to an interview while you are still employ applicant will not let the current employer know first until they got the offer letter.

Experience verification - how?

Post by Cool » Wed Apr 12, 2006 10:33 am

I'm aware of two cases where the current employer was called.

The exact questions asked and information disclosed, I don't know.

Maybe some employers perceive this negatively but this is exploring good global opportunities and everyone has right to do so.

They do verify, especially in the country where fraud is prominent. Learn from previous case in this board.

But recently they are using a different strategy. In case they do not believe with work reference they simply do not award point in this category. If you ask for review then they simply ask you to convince them. In this case you are you are the person who need to work hard to prove it, not them.

Read this this is just an example that they do verify the document.

"After the review BHC contacted my previous employer but my review request was again rejected stating that they could not contact my previous employers. This was really strange.

I had sent them another review, which met the same fate as the previous one. I feel once they reject you on the basis of non verification of work experience, they send back all your docs without keeping any records with them. So, it becomes impossible for them to go back and upheld the original decision."
