Hi,

Could someone help with our query regarding applying for passport for child in India.

Iam a british national, iHave a british passport, My wife has ILR, we are planning to go to India for child birth. Could some one tell us ,
1.Is it POSSIBLE TO GET BRITISH PASSPORT FOR THE BABY WHILST IN INDIA.

2. has any one find any difficulties, and what is your advice.

3. Attending interview at the british high comission is it mandatory.

If you are British otherwise than by descent (e.g. born in the UK or naturalised), then child will be British under section 2(1)(a). If child is British, then child may apply for a British passport.
