Hi,

I have just got ILR Visa ,I am on workpermit category , I have been in UK for 6+ years on work permit , do I still need to wait for one more year before I can applied for UK citizenship ? or I can apply now ? Please help

If you are not a spouse or civil partner of a British citizen, then you have to wait a year.

been present in the UK five years before the date of your application

does not mean that applicant need to be there in this country on specific visa category or any visa category should be fine ?
