Post by Gols » Thu Oct 14, 2010 1:18 pm

Hi all,

I m from India, and want to invite my sister in law for 2months to visit new member of our family and for support, as we are expecting our first baby in Dec 2010.

My sis/law is housewife (she has started Job 3 months back so she is not having any ITR and bank statement so v r showing her as unemployed/housewife) and her husband (my brother) is sponsoring all the cost of her visit and I m sponsoring her for accommodation with us.

my query is for the supporting documents what docs do v need to show in this case..PLEASE HELP:-

my sis in law showing:-

1) Sponsor letter from her husband's end
2) NOC from her husband
3) Marriage certificate
4) 6 months bank statement of her husband
5) 3yrs ITR (income tax return) of her husband
6) property documents owned by her husband
7) some FD, LIC and RD of her husband and her's as well
8) Income source of her husband, as he is self employed

Docs from my end:-

1) Invitation letter
2) passport photo copy
3) VISA copy (tier 1)
4) accommodation proof (council tax receipt)
5) employers letter (is it necessary?)

also if we show my sis in law working/employed for last 3 months can we still show that her husband is sponsoring for her visit???

docs required if showing employed

1) Appointment letter from employer
2) pay slips
3) employers NOC

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME... I m real confused and don't want to get her Visa rejected pls let me know if i m missing any docs or do need to show anything else

Thank you for reading my fore ever long post....

If she is currently employed, then don't say that she is unemployed. However, provide proof of employment.

Similar to US visitors, she should show strong ties to her home country.
