Fiancee visa, supporting documents copies question

Post by can889 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 1:30 pm

Hi, I'm applying for a fiancee visa, on the ukvisa site it says you need the orignal documents and photocopies.

"Originals or photocopies?
You must include the original documents and a photocopy of each document. You will also need to provide a translation of any supporting documents which are not in English, or your application may be refused"

http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... checklist/

Does this mean I need to supply the originals, eg bank statements and also photocopies of them? This applies to all documents I supply?

Its confusings as the application guidance notes does not say you need to also provide photocopies. So do I?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, so that means I don't need to supply duplicate copies?

Thats absolutely wrong

You will have to provide all original documents and a photocopy set of all of these documents which you will supply in support of your VISA application.(plus a photocopy of all the pages of your passport certified by a solicitor)
Which is it of the favors of your lord that ye deny.

Normally the applicant in the country will provide a photocopy of all the documents along with the originals that you will send from here in the UK
