I have a similar concern.

1. My name is "Sudharshan Arvind Kaveripatti" on the passport.
2. "Arvind K S" on the degree
3. "Arvind Sudharshan Kaveripatti" on the bank statement

1. is the correct name. I could get the name changed on the bank account, but that still leaves me with 2.

Getting a university letter or degree changed is too cumbersome. From other posts I understand that an affidavit stating all three names are the same, would suffice.

Please confirm and suggest what could be the best solution.

I have read mixed opinions on this. The guidelines does not suggest providing any affidavit anywhere. If it is not specified, how it will become a valid document. People who have supplied this might think that they are saved because of the affidavit. People who had the same problem and have not submitted affidavit and got cleared, might think that this problem might be overlooked by the ECO. My opinion is that this might not be overlooked by any ECO. Since i am also having the same problem, i am going to submit with degree certificate i have with my initials on it.
If anybody has any idea, please post.

In Asia specifically UKBA receives comparatively higher number of false document and hence they have a sharp eyes of these indiscrepencies ( as sometimes people show someone else's account who name somewhat matches, etc) ....

I don't understand how these discrepancies come about... if 1. is your correct name, then how did the other two variations come into being?

Why is it that these errors have not been rectified before now? You've presumably had your bank account for a while and certainly (presumably) been studying for a number of years, if these records are not in your correct name, how are you going to prove who you are when you go and ask for the name to be changed to the one in your passport?

Its not a changed name but it is about the order of the names. This happens because, in India generally there is not much emphasis on all the names being in the right order. All the names mentioned is sufficient enough in most cases within the country.

The reason they have not been changed is because of being unaware during the initial stages of studies and also the cumbersome process to change the degree certificates and other documents.

There was not a need to have an order of names to prove that I am me. A legal original document with all the names in it was sufficient in itself to prove that I am me for all practical purposes.

I understand that in an ideal case it should all be in correct order, but it is quite common in names being not expanded in certain certificates and order of names.

An legal affidavit is the general solution I have heard from most people. But pls do help with a suggestion if anyone has had a similar problem and had a solution.
