Call from Case Officer

Post by sajid08 » Wed Oct 27, 2010 8:06 am

Hi,

I applied for UK Tier1 General from Pakistan on 15th Oct, yesterday a guy from british abu dhabi embassy called, and asked for my NTN, I didn't remember it, so I asked him to call me back, I got the NTN from my office and when he called back I gave it to him, but he said that it's only issued in 2010 and you've been in the current company from 2008, I told him may be the tax was getting deducted under some other number before this, I can confirm that, he said he'll call back for that, but he didn't.

Does this sound like trouble? for my Previous earnings evidence I submitted Letter from Employer (with all the gross and net salaries) and original bank statements exactly matching those payments. But I didn't submit any tax document, as its written in the guidelines that we've to prove earnings from two different sources, I proved it from employer and bank.

Considering this, can my application be rejected on my NTN being issued only in 2010? which was verbally communicated to the officer?

It wasn't an interview, it was a query.

You can find the documents I submitted here, best of luck with your case:

All applications from Pakistan are processed at Abu Dhabi embassy in UAE, dont know the reason but they've plans to bring it back to Islamabad, most people applying from pakistan already know that.

UKBA's International Group has adopted a "hub and spoke" arrangement over the last few years.

Passports cannot be sent over national borders, so if you applied in Pakistan your passport stays in the BHC there while the papers are sent to the relevant hub. In this case the hub is in the Gulf.

Islamabad is unusual in that the ECOs were withdrawn because of the security situation, but hub and spoke is designed to deal with a broader issue. You put just enough ECOs in local posts to deal face to face with those who need a detailed interview and move the rest to a hub. At the hub you have "strenght in numbers" so that absences for vacation or sickness don't have the same impact on continuity of service as they would at a small post.
