14 year long residence application success but need help

Hi,
My cousin and his family made the application for ILR under the above on June 2009. They came to this country back in 1993 on visitor visa and have been here ever since. The family included mother and three children as the father had passed away in 1990. The children ages at the time were 5, 9 and 11, today they are aged 22, 26 and 28.
The youngest of them who is now 22 was given ILR a couple of weeks ago and took about 16 months from the date of application but the remaining family is still waiting. I know everyone made their own application as they were all over 18 but would have thought decision would be made together as the circumstances are more or less the same and are from same family.
What I want to know is why has this happened and what should the rest of the family expect regarding their application and how long it could take. I would have thought the outcome should be now positive as they have accepted one family members application but how long will this take.

Applications under 14 years long residence are made individually .. and assessed individually.

While the circumstances may be be the same / similar under which the family (members) applied for settlement under long residence, individual application(s) means individual assessment and, therefore, not subject to being decided at / around the same time.

Thank you for your reply and I understand what you have said that the decisions will be made separately. But I wanted to know how long it will take and what are the likely outcomes. Could the rest of the family still be rejected even though one of them have received it.

An application will be refused if any applicant doesn't meet the eligibility criteria for the category under which the application is made. If the applicants fulfil the criteria, there should no reason to worry irrespective of how much time it takes for the decision to come through.

As for timeslines, I guess no one but UKBA can provide a definite answer.

Impossible to say how long. Yes, some could be rejected, although it's less likely if one's been granted ILR.
