need help on extension of tier 4 student visa

Post by asaduk2001 » Wed Oct 27, 2010 7:32 pm

hi there i am studying in anglia ruskin university and completed my 1st yr from over there but my student visa is expiring on this 30th november 2010
My uni is a genuine university and I will be given CAS letter sooner but the real problem is I dont have the full amount of the course fees which is 9350 pounds. I only show 4000 pounds, My mom and dad died long ago but my aunt and uncle who are U.S citizens are supporting me. They are willing to provide any details or any bank statement. Can I use there bank details to show my uni fees. Is it possible
please answer me as soon as possible

The Tier 4 guidance states that you can rely on money in an account belonging to parents or legal guardians:

As you are probably over 18 I doubt very much that you can rely on showing that aunt/uncle have enough money in their account as they won't be your guardians.

Two obvious ways around the problem you face. They can either give you the £5350 for you to put into your account, or they can pay it to the university before your CAS is issued leaving you to cover the £4k balance from your own funds.
