ILR under tier one - enough tenure?

Post by rachrach » Mon Nov 01, 2010 2:07 pm

Hi everyone, i need advise on my current tier 1 visa condition.

I was initially granted an HSMP visa that was valid for a year from 21/08/07 until 28/08/08.

But i only then entered UK on 16/10/07 and start working a month after that in London.

My current HSMP extension stamp is Tier 1 (general) migrant valid from 03/09/08 until 03/09/12

With the number of months/years that i spent here in UK, am i entitled to apply for the ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) settlement visa once my current visa is expired?

Anyone else that has applied for ILR under similar condition as me?

Many thanks for your help.

Under current rules for settlement, you'll complete the 5 years residential qualifying period on 16 Oct. 2012. Since your current leave is due to expire on 03 Sep 2012, you'll need to apply for (another) Tier 1 extension before your current leave expires.
