COA approved - but partner no longer wants marriage

Post by sunshine24 » Tue Nov 16, 2010 7:43 pm

Hi,

I applied for COA at the end of June, my now ex-partner split up with me about 2 weeks before we had received our application from Home Office to which it approved our COA, I am worried now as I don't how this will affect me in the future.

Any advice as to what I can do next? I am aware I have to send back the COA do I need to write a letter or does my ex have to write the letter? Doesnt this affect her as well?

A COA is only permission to marry. It doesn't change the applicants' legal status (or lack of) for immigration purposes.
