Applying for Spouse visa end of next year

I don't know where to start so i will tell you from the start.

I am a British citizen and my husband is Moroccan.

Me and my husband starting speaking in august 2006 and when i first went to Morocco was January 2008. I have been to Morocco 9 times now.

I have kept every ticket and emails from when i have booked them online. We have tried to keep every conversation since 2006 but as you know we don't have since 2006 but what we do have is since 2007. we do have emails since 2006.

I will write everything that we will have for the visa and I hope that you could help us to say if we have everything that we need.

- We will print as much of the emails and conversations, this year i started taking print screen shots of when we are on web cams.
- all the tickets when i have entered into Morocco. I kept the ticket when my mum came with me and of course i can not forget that i have kept my old passports to show the stamps.
-we will have receipts from our wedding rings and also engagement ring
- the photos well i am sure they wouldnt like every photo we have taken because we have thousands hehe so we would print the ones on our first meet, in public places before marriage, family photos - me with his family and also my husband when my family came to morocco specially, the celebration of our marriage - my family and his family and our friends from morocco, when we stayed in hotels, after marriage
- kept receipts when we have posted things to each other
- kept our wedding cards and also a few engagement cards
- i will have my bank statements
- i will have my wage slips
- i will be getting a flat or house very soon
- i am currently looking for a job but i am sure i will get one very soon as my old job i am sure i will get that back.
- i will be writing a letter to say i accept my husband to come live with me here in the uk
- i will be getting a letter from the local authorities to say that the house/flat is big enough for him to stay with me
- the marriage certificate
- most of the phone calling cards but there is also some i have to print as i bought them online
- i will be 21 next november so that is when we will apply
- i will print the hotel reservations
- the receipt of the riad where we celebrated our marriage
- a letter from where i work to show i am working and how much money i earn with how many hours
- my mum is getting a few thousand maybe soon and she said she will put it into my account so i can save for her which will show i have savings


With all the years that have gone past. Would we have to print every single conversations off because we speak everyday.
Cant we put these onto a disc or does it all have to be printed.

About the money situation

If i got my old job back which i am very sure i will, I got paid £13,600 roughly a year so i brought back £913 when tax and national insurance is off. I have worked everything out for when i do get a house or flat and all that money will be nearly all gone with all the bills i have thought about.
Is this good or bad for the visa?
Would it be best to still stay with my mum in her house?

Also the English test. My husband will take the english test but how many months or weeks should he take it before we apply for the visa?

You seem to have a firm grasp of what is needed to apply for a spousal visa however your husband cannot take the Life in the UK test until he arrives in the UK and it is needed for the ILR so there is plenty of time

There is a new test that new people who applying for spouse visa he must take an english test to show how much english language he knows. It starts at the end of this month

Stacey, your husband can take the pre-entry English test whenever he's ready.
Just one point. Be wary of your mother depositing savings in your bank account as the ECO in Rabat may consider this to be 3rd party financial support. Only you can decide whether you will have sufficient funds to enable you to live in your own accommodation. You'll need to show that after paying rent, council tax and any loan repayments you have a minimum of £102.75 remaining weekly.
You don't need to include utility bills, food, or personal spending.

So really all you need to include in the money they need to know is rent and council tax?

which of these will be included in the money then the money i dont include?

Only deduct rent and council tax from your income. If you have a minimum of £102.75 remaining weekly you'll have sufficient for the application. However, if you're not applying until the end of next year, you'll need to check that this amount hasn't risen as it's linked to the Income Support level which could rise before the end of 2011.

so the £102.... a week is left and that covers the other bills i showed u that doesnt matter?

yhyh i know things could change.

we just want to get everything right and correct first time around and i am just thinking if i could do everything by myself and rent a house or flat.

Would it make it harder to get the visa if i stayed with my family?

It won't make it any harder if you stay with family. In fact if you live with them at least temporarily when your husband first arrives, it may strengthen the application as far as finances are concerned and at least give you time to get settled without worrying about having to pay the rent every month. My husband and I stayed with family for a short while when we settled here.

when did u apply for the visa and did u get the visa straight away

we got married this yr in april but celebrated in june

how long did u wait for the decision for them to tell u that he got the visa ?

i know its different for everyone its just we wanna be prepared

We applied in Madrid as we were living in Spain and married there. We were given the decision on the day following an interview, but the process is different in Rabat. We moved here in May 2006 and my husband now has British Nationality.
He is originally from Casablanca and we now live in Kent.
