Quries on Educational Certificate for Tier 1

Post by ash_foru311 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 10:05 am

HI,

I have degree with M.Sc(Tech) General Studies From BITS PILANI from India. Actually, its the 4yrs integrated course which is equivalent to bachelors degree. But I am not able to find the right band for Msc in point based system. Can I opt this as a Masters Degree in the points based systems for educational related?

Please help me with your answers.

If you cannot find your qualification in the points calculator, then you will have to get a NARIC assessment done.

I really thank you all for the replies...

But I dont need NARIC assessment because my institute name is already avaible in pbs HO>qualification.
Am little confused with the degree.. it comes under first degree integrated course..which means nothing but the same as bachelor.. but my question is which should I select in the qualification.. wheather is it Bachelor (Honuns/special) or Masters Degree..or something else..

If I select Master's am getting 35 points ... and incase of bachelors its 30..

Please help me with it..

You have to select your exact qualification from the points based calculator. So if it's a MSc, that would be a masters, but under the university etc that you received the qualification. Then see how many points you are awarded - that will determine what the UK equivalent is (there are many Masters degrees on there that I know of which is the equivalent of a Bachelors in the UK - you select what YOUR qualification says, not what you think the equivalent would be).
