Family run business

I am wondering whether it is acceptable if in your HSMP application
you put that you worked in a family owned business. Primarily, your
father was your employer who is the owner and president of the company.
Is it possible to gain points for work experience and earning power for
working in a family owned business? I would think it is as long as u
can prove it.
