Fixed Deposit Confusion for Maintenance fund

Post by prakashhsmp » Fri Nov 26, 2010 3:44 pm

I am planning to apply for the Tier1 General Visa by Dec 1st week. My salary is credited to the Citibank Account and I also have some amount in fixed deposit linked to the account which I would like to claim for the maintenance fund.

I do have 2 lacs Indian rupees in the Fixed Deposit which will be renewed every 6 months and I am maintaining it for the last 12 months.
In addition to this I have 1 Lac Indian rupees which is getting renewed every week which was deposited 12 months back.

During Novemeber 1st week I have moved the 1 lac INR from Fixed deposit to Savings account(Fixed depoit is linked to my Bank account).
After 1 week I had moved the 1 lac INR from Savings account back to the Fixed Deposit.

Will this create a problem for the Tier 1 Visa towards the eligibility of maintenance fund?

Also please suggest me on how to show the amount for the maintenance fund?

Since I have only a week left I am confused whether to go for a visa interview.

Please help me and thanks in advance

Get a letter from the branch manager that you have always held well above 3 lacs combined in the respective bank account\s i.e. both the FDs combined for the last 3 months

Attach the branch manager's visiting card (if you can get one) on top of the letter.
Thanks,
Sumit.
