New Tier 1 (General) abolishment - will it effect me?

Hi all,

I came in about two years ago on my Tier 1 and now it appears that they are abolishing the visa now from next year onwards.

Will I be able to apply for an extension?

Simple answer is Yes.

Not so simple answer/speculation/hysteria may follow in subsequent posts, and/or you will probably get told to read/continue in the other thread.
