name mis-match and points query

Post by vp77 » Fri Dec 03, 2010 9:59 am

Hello Seniors,

Need ur guidance on the below doubts.

I have a name mis-match in terms of my fathers' name in the passport and the bank statement that I would be showing for my earnings and maintenance funds.

Passport says - SHARAD

Bank Statement says - SHARADCHANDRA

There is no mis-match in my name and surname, its fine there.

Would the above matter pose a problem? If yes, what do I do?

The other query is on the points - I am scoring exact 100 points as required to be eligible for the Tier-1 visa application. Does this reduce the chance to get a visa vis-a-vis someone who may have scored more than 100 points.

100 is a cutoff meaning all men are equal beyond that point.

Probably you should search the forum before hijacking someone else's question.

I suggest read the guidance before posting.
Thanks,
Sumit.

If you observe carefully, PinkFloyd hasn't hijacked the discussion but responded to one of the queries in the opening post.

Since it you who is applying for a visa and not your father, IMHO, it shouldn't be a problem.

name mismatch doesn't look like a problem. Better to show bank statement and payslips with names as in passport.
There is no preference whatsoever for someone scoring more than 100 over you.
