British Student's wanting to marry Korean girlfriend...

Post by dtb7777 » Sat Dec 04, 2010 3:55 pm

Hello everyone,

This looks like a great forum, I hope somebody can offer me some advice...

I am a British student currently on temporary leave from uni after a transfer year in Asia. I have been with my Korean girlfriend for a year. I will be returning to England in August with my girlfriend.

We are hoping that she can live with me in a student household whilst I study for the next two years at University. I have looked into either getting a fiance visa, marrying, and then a spouse visa. However, it appears as though I need to financially prove I can look after her. As a student on a difficult degree, I will not have a full time job, and I will be living off my loan.

My question is... can my parents financially sponsor her? I know she will have to live with me as a spouse, but can she be financially looked after by them?

Thank you for any tips or suggestions...
