HSMP extension but...

Post by xy16644 » Tue May 09, 2006 6:46 pm

Hello everyone,

I am in the UK at the moment on an HSMP visa valid until April 2007. To cut a long story short a work visa for Australia came through for me after I arrived in the UK.

my question is:

Will I have a problem applying for an extension to my HSMP visa next year if the Home Office sees that I have a valid Australian Work Visa (Permanent Residency) in my passport?

My intention is to stay in the UK for 99% of the time but I do need to make occassional (2-3 weeks per year at the most) work related (and possible family trips) to Australia.

Thanks so much everyone!

just having a valid work permit for another country will not cause a prob. i myself have it for USA and here on HSMP.

However, HSMP is a visa intended for permanent immigration, so if you are not in UK and can't prove your economical activity, then you will be in trouble.
