Is it even worth it to apply at this point?

According to this UKBA site: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... tingtimes/
During the week commencing 6 December 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 15 October 2010. This timescale is only a guideline, and some cases may take longer to consider.
There has been no official word, but I have also heard today that the December cap has been met. Assuming it has, that means the January 2010 allocation will go to applicants from mid to late October. February 2010 allocations will go for late October to early to mid November. That leaves March 2010 allocations, the last of the Tier 1 (General) allocations, for applicants from early to mid November to late November to early December.

Of course, I am estimating. But at this point I just don't know if I can justify spending $1200 on such a slim chance, even if I apply today.

Here is an interesting observation....

As per my post above, UKBA says they haven't yet processed October 15th applications, but users here are posting up (in this thread- http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 6&start=40) that they applied last month (as late as Nov 26th) and received a visa this month.

Something doesn't add up here. What am I missing?

1. You are looking at information (on UKBA website) that is regarding in-country applications.
2. Reading this post should also help.
3. The topic on this forum that you refer to is for applications from outside UK.

For information regarding applications from outside UK, use UKVisas website.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. There is still hope!
