UK Tier 1 Visas to be abolished? does it effect to renewals?

Hi Immigration Gurus,

I on HSMP (Not on Tier-1) visa now and it will lost for 9 more months. Now I am worried if the new rules on Tier 1 will effect on my Tier 1 (General) Renewal? Please advise.

Until such time that the govt. / UKBA announces any changes to immigration rules regarding leave to remain (extension), the rules remain as specified in Part 6A (245AA-245G) and Part 8 (319A-319K) of the immigration rules.

I got my ILR recently at Sheffield PEO.

I am on WP(3.5 years) + (HSMP 1.5 years) contracting at the moment,
