Tier 1 dependent

Post by asdf786 » Tue Dec 14, 2010 12:43 am

Could you please guide me for the following points;

1- Has Tier 1 dependent got any time restriction to come to UK after getting entry clearance? Or he can come any time within his/her visa time spam. My wife got visa last month. The visa expiry date is in April 2013. She can come any time before her visa expiry date? Isn't it?

2- I am working here as Tier 1 Migrant and i will be completing my 5 years in April 2013. My wife got Tier 1 Dependent visa last month and has same expiry date like me. Could you please guide me that when i will apply for ILR and she would be living here in UK less than two years, how she will extend her stay?

3- If She come here and join me and keep coming and going back. How the time requirement of 2 years will be assessed to apply with me for ILR? Is it calculated from first date of entering uk to current date or the total time lived in UK minus time spent out of country?

4- What are the requirements for dependent to apply for ILR for the same time as the main applicant? I know 2 but doubtful about third one.
1) She must be living in UK for 2 years
2) Life in UK test
3) Language ( is it required or not)

Your wife may travel to UK any time before the expiry date of the visa.
No one can tell you today what the rules may be in April 2013.

Please continue in the other topic you created.
