Proof of earning - Tier 1 (G) Visa

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for a Tier-1 general extension in march 2011 as the Tier-1 G scheme is being terminated in April 2011. I have been working in the UK since december 2009 on a permanent basis on a PSW visa. My issue is that if I apply in March I am falling 7000 pounds short of the required 35K to take me upto 100 points. The remianing income, I am planning to show as a part-time self-employed consultancy for 8000 pounds which I have already started,
My question is simple ; the extra payments are being given to me via Cheque which means there is no reference for the transferred amount on my bank statements. I do however have raised respective invoices against these incoming payments. Will this be sufficient or should I request the company to do an online bank transfer if that is more acceptable? I will really appreciate your kind response. Cheers,

I certainly don't know the exact answer, however I have been teaching and providing little clerical services as a self employed. Most of the payments were paid in cash and I had to deposit these into my bank account myself. I had checked this with an immigration advisor few months ago and his reply to the suitability of the transaction method was possitive.
However, I must say take the expert's advise. I am only sharing my own scenario.

Some time the situation like you are presenting goes in a total inquiry from agency and they will call the people to whom you have provided the services . depositing the amount in bank is ok! but more good way is to make a bank transfer . In all the ways do the following before applying:

1) Call the customers to be ready for a call .. in verification from agency

2) Hope for the best )

@sunny , would you recommend any reliable and experienced immigration expert/agency that I can use. Since I only have one shot before April, I would like to not mess up at all

@Ali , I totally know what you mean, Bank transfers do look more apt but what can I do that's how the company have agreed to pay me and at this point I can use all the help I can get, They are totally prepared to answer any verification call from the Home office so hopefully that shouldn't be an issue. Lets hope and pray for all the best,
