urgently need help concerning bank statement

Hi my husband need 2 apply for extension of student visa,he needs to provide his bank statement for his funding the problem is that the recent one will come after 15 january 2011 and he needs to send the application by 5 January 2011.we went down to the bank yesterday hsbc they said they dont provide any letter and they dont stamp any documents.They said they can print it from the computer but trere wont b any name and address on it.my concern is how we will provide the ho the bank statement coz they dont accept bank statement from electronic machine.
could someone help please.

You can use the bank statements for 15 December 2010 as they will not have been more than 1 month old.

Alternatively, you may wish to find another bank branch and ask again - speaking to the bank manager may be better.

Thats why I always recomend to all students do not open account with high profile high street banks. They always have problems with little things like statments and letters. Students can be in need of those things at any time!

I don't know which law says they cannot stamp on electronic statements or issue a bank statement before the monthly or quarterly date even it is a serious legal requirement for the account holder.

Barclays always good in these kind of requirments. Any student account holder can get a full bank statement in just 3 days or online bank statements with branch stamp same day!

Go to the branch manager of HSBC and tell him that its a serious legal requirment. If they will not coopreate you will close your account and file a complain with regulatory authority. I suggest give him a written application and keep a copy for your record!
