Tier 1 extension guidelines

Post by sureshep » Wed Dec 22, 2010 3:22 pm

Hi All,

Kindly request you to share the policy guidelines/rules for Tier 1 (general) extension.

I have seen in UK border agency site, but unable to find suitable info.

I am currently in UK and my visa is going to expiry in Dec 28th 2011. I am planning to apply for my extension in November 2011.

Please share your valuable inputs and criteria which I have to met in order to make my application as successful.

Awaiting for earliest responses.

Regards,
Suresh

Hi sushdmehta,

thanks for your valuable inputs.

Guidelines says that - person needs to earn atleast 27000 pounds for last consecutive year.

However, I am currently jobless and searching. I will not be able to submit 1 year payslips.

Is it possible to show last 6 months remunerations which covers 27000 pounds ?

Kindly revert back with your valuable inputs.

Awaiting for your responses.

suresh

if you can earn 27K in one month in the last 15 months, you can just use the payslip of that month to prove you salary.

Hi martincyy,

thanks for your reply.

Just one more query...

My dependents (wife & child) still in Indian since I have not applied initial visa for them.

However, I am planning to bring them after my T 1 (General) extension approval. Once my application is approved, I will file the dependent visa for them.

But, my concern is - recently home office has announced a statement that no longer Tier 1 visa will be applied from overseas.

For my case, is it possible to apply Tier 1 dependents from India ??.

Your kind responses will be highly appreciated.

suresh

hi sushdmehta,

Many thanks for your reply.

For maintainance of funds - is it okay if I maintain 800 pounds + 800 pounds (wife & child) in my Indian bank account for consecutive 3 months ??

Maintainance of funds are in my bank account for showing the proof or my will it needs to be with my wife's account ??

Will there be any complications for approval of dependent child visa (since my baby boy is just 10 months old) and somewhere in the policy documents it says
All arrangements for children’s care and accommodation in the United Kingdom must comply 36. with relevant United Kingdom legislation and regulations.
Kindly share your valuable experiences.

Hi

Let me answer one by one!

A: Please check mate the amount from UKBA website i think it's 1600+1600 =3200 as your family is coming from outside UK . please check it !!! . As your wife never come to uk and she is applying for new EC , she will be needing GBP 1600 along with GBP 1600 for the child making a GBP 3200.

It must be in an account which shows they are in for 3 months and they are in cash form . Account statement as per UKBA guideline with bank letter confirming the finds are there for 3 months and in cash form.

q:Maintainance of funds are in my bank account for showing the proof or my will it needs to be with my wife's account ??

A: Your name , combined name both are correct

Q:Will there be any complications for approval of dependent child visa (since my baby boy is just 10 months old) and somewhere in the policy documents it says

A: Put your child birth certificate in application pack attested and clean and in English . There is no problem mate ...

GOOD LUCK!!! hurry and call your family ASAP
Thanks

THERE SHOULD BE £4000 (1600+1600+800(for yourself) in your account in last consecutive 90 days prior to application.

Hi forum members,

I have just look into policy guidelines latest - it says pound 533 for each dependent.

I guess for my case - it should be 533 + 533 + 800 (my self).
Correct me if I am wrong else where.

Further more, I have one doubt regarding the approval of dependent visas

Since I have entered UK very lately i.e.
My visa approved date : 28-12-2008
Entered in UK - 08-12-2010

Will it impact for my dependent visa approval - since main applicant entered into UK after a long gap. I know it will impact for my PR and I am not worried about that since it is too earlier to think about that.

Also, regarding my Tier 1 (first extn) - is there any rule that I shouldn't go outside the country during last six months at the time of applying visa extn ?

Once again, thanks for your time and valuable inputs.

That applies when you have been in UK for more than a year.

Many thanks for your kind responses.

Could you please confirm the exact funds in this regards ?

Also, by the time Nov 2011 - it will be more than a year for me to apply for extension. Is that okay ?

Looking forward to your responses.
