I am currently applying for the HSMP and am switching from the
category of an EEA national dependant visa. I have been on that visa
for 2 1/2 years. It is my understanding from reading the posts that
under the immigration rules changes Highly Skilled Migrant's will now be able to amalgamate continuous time spent in the UK, even as EEA dependants.
My question is this actually possible? Furthermore, I am a visa national
therefore it is my understanding that after I get my approval of my HSMP
application I have to go to overseas and come back with an entry clearance stamp
for the HSMP from a british embassy. Since, I have to leave the country and come back with
entry clearance will my stay count as continous and I will be able to amalgamate my time spent, which means I can apply for ILR in 2 1/2 years instead of 5 years? How does it work to amalgamate continuous time spent in the UK? There seems to be many categories u can amalgamate continuous time spent in the UK.
Your answers would be much appreciated.
