To be safe, if you have other sources of finance (anywhere in the world) to cover that shortfall of £100 (or more) for that particular day, you may wish to obtain a bank statement/letter in preparation should your visa application be refused. I would even go as far as submitting that additional supporting evidence to the HO before you receive the result, and ensure you retain a copy for your own records if in the event you may need it for an appeal later.shoppsydudu wrote:Hello Everyone,
am on Tier 1 visa my wife is on student visa i applied for her as a dependant but she was refused and they told her to go back to her home country to apply, i have all the document needed now to apply but i added £300 to my Maintenance fee(£800 to make it £1100) but realised that i needed £100 so i withdrawn £100 but when i check my account some days later i realised that the Bank withdrawn the £100 from £800 to make it £700 before they added £300 later on the same day but the £300 was the first transaction i did, that means the £800 maintenance fee was reduced by £100 within a day and get back to that £800 that same day. will it affect my wife application as this happen in the last 2months left on her visa. Please i need help am so worried.
You are fine. There is no need to worry as long as closing balance of that day was 800 or over. it's the closing balance of the day that mattters not the balance DURING the day. Your application will not be refused unless your case worker is blind, if he does that, go for appeal and honorable judge will be there with an eye opener.shoppsydudu wrote:Hello Everyone,

Not sure what the basis of above is and how you make the statement with such an authority. The Guidance Notes (para 213) say (in relation to the Bank Statements):silverline wrote:You are fine. No need of stamping or extra work etc. Simply highlight closing balance of each day on your bank statements of last 90 days.
Banks normally post payments first even if receipts take place earlier than payments.
Best of Luck.
The personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:
• the applicant’s name;
• the account number;
• the date of the statement;
• the financial institution’s name and logo;
• any transactions during the 90 day period;
• that there are enough funds present in the account (the balance must always be at least £800) covering the 90 day period before the date of application
Lastly the Immigration Rules Appendix C say:The balance must show that you have had at least £800 in your account at all times over the three-month period for applications submitted within the United Kingdom, and £2,800 for applications submitted outside the United Kingdom.
I recognise that the Case worker "may" focus on the end of day balance in some of the cases (one needs to be lucky for that), but nothing stops him from rejecting the application if the statement shows a drop in funds below the minimum required. That said, if the OP is not so lucky, he can use the evidence as suggested by other members above to appeal (if available).(b) I f the applicant is applying for entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain as a Tier 1 Migrant (other than a Tier 1 (Investor) Migrant), a Tier 2 Migrant or a Tier 5 (Temporary Worker) Migrant, the applicant must have had the funds referred to in (a) above for a consecutive 90-day period of time, ending no earlier than one calendar month before the date of application;
