IELTS is not required for students extension.

IELTS itself not a requirement for visa extensions. It does not even requirement for new comers as well on NVQ level 6 onwards. Its depends upon college admission requirment whatever level they required for admission.

Before, you were saying that college is not issuing CAS without IELTS. If you won't get your CAS, how you can apply for extension?

I think, if college put any IELTS condition in CAS it will be required.

He needs to include any qualifications that the tier 4 sponsor mentions in the CAS, so if this includes IELTS he needs to include it.
