Tier 1 - Visa application - from Mumbai - status update

Hi All...

Does any one from Mumbai has received an status update for their Tier 1 visa application....

I have applied on 2nd dec but have not received update so far however people from Banglore, HYD and chennai have received an response stating that their Processed visa application is send by bluedart.

Kindly advise.

Hi

I am totally agitated as I had applied on 3rd Dec from Mumbai and I still have got no update, my friend who applied on 15th Dec from Delhi got his visa today.

Is BHC Mumbai sleeping????

Hi Mitesh Vora,
I am Raghav applied on 17th Dec at VFS- Mumbai North. Also my frd applied on 16th Dec at VFS- Mumbai South. Still our status is under process. It seems processing time at Mumbai BDHC is more. It is my purely assumption.

Hi All,

Dont worry we all will get visa for sure....It just the processing time because of which its getting delayed.

check these link for processing time. It indicates that processing time is 0% in first 3 days and 7% in first 5 days. where as rate is very good for BLR, HYD and Chennai.

Seems basis that only we have not received an response so far.

Just a question on this - how fast is delivery in India? That might also be the reason for the delay. In South Africa all deliveries take place overnight - even to the furthest corner of the country which could also explain why processing in some countries is faster than others. For example, even if I have an appointment at any of our VFS Centres at 14:00, the visa packs arrive at our BHC by 8am the following morning.

I was just wondering whether it's only due to the large number of applications or if there are other factors involved as well, because even with a large number of applications, some decisions should be made within the first 3 days!

First SA has very less number of applications for tier 1 as compared to india. It was observed that visas were issues to ppl in SA, Turky n USA quite early.......

Since there are too many application coming from india not just for Tier 1 but for other catagory as well processing time also takes more time....

I assume that Passports and documents are not being send to UK. Its being processed locally only by high commission.

Same if my Case. Applied at the Last Day 22nd Dec at VFS Mumbai North.

Status still under process.

"Your application is being sent application center. Please wait until it is ready for collection".

I am quite confused now. Today I went to vfs Mumbai South to enquire and they told me that tier1 visas are issued in lots and not on a one by one basis.
As per this logic my status should have also changed as I and my friend applied on 3rd Dec and our status is still under process.

Its really confusing now.... i called vfs help desk and they were not much helpful at all... seems there is no proper system there....

Raghav seems to be the only person from mumbai whose status seems to have changed....i applied on 2nd but still no response so far....

Mitesh, please note that not all applications might be straight-forward and some might require further processing based on the information given. Also, they might have trouble getting hold of your bank/employer/university if they are trying to do further verification checks. There are a number of factors that can play a role in applications being processed with different timelines.

But its not possible that for all the applications they are facing the difficulty. No one from mumbai has recieved tier1.

Bloke Raghavs status has changes so he should get it in day or two....Processing time for Mumbai is also very slow as comapred to other locations so that also might be one of the reason.......

Hi,
My wife has applied for tier1 g from Mumbai South on 3rd Dec. Her status is still showing under process. She has uk earnings and is my dependent and has good permanent job. Its so stressful as she is getting mails from her job that if she dosen't join asap she will have problems. My daughters school is also affected.

I really wonder when they will start issuing for Mumbai as its effecting her job and my daughters school.
Guys kindly post when if u are from Mumbai and hear anything about your application.
