Will RP1 claim affect Tier 1 extension?

Post by yunusjs2000 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 3:21 pm

Hi,
I am a Tier1 (General) Migrant visa holder, staying in UK for the past two years. I was working for a company for 10 months as a permanent employee. The company went in insolvency & my role was liquidated. I was not paid for a month. They have asked me to fill up the RP1 claim form and send it to insolvency practitioner. I just want to know whether this will affect my visa extension, as my visa is telling no resourse to public funds.

Thanks,
Mohamed

To the best of my knowledge, redundancy payments are not Public Funds. So you should be safe.

Thanks for the reply sir... I have gone through few websites as well. All the sources are giving the same details, redundancy claim will not come under the public funds. Thanks again for your help.
