UK Visa Settlement Interview - Help

Post by ptl141 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 8:43 pm

Hi All,
This my first time here and it would be grateful if anyone can help me in my circumstances (questions).

My partner turned 21 on the 8th Nov 2010. 5 days later we got married (13th Nov - I went to India) then on the 18th Nov, me and my partner went to Ahmedabad to apply for the 2 year settlement visa. The application & documents are all in order.

We had already met when my partner came on a UK visitor visa in May 2010 (arranged marriage - saw her on the 22nd of May & got engaged in the UK on 13th June 2010) when she came to visit family and friends. However the visitor visa was refused originally because the High Commission thought that my partner was coming into the UK to work (appealed successfully).

I have married someone before in India before (4 years ago) but this marriage was annulled in Dec 2008. My ex-partner lives in India.
My partner got a call today from the High Commission stating that she has to attend an interview on the 27th of Jan at Mumbai and to collect an "Interview Form" at Ahmedabad on Monday 24th Jan 2011.

My partner is stressed out and panicing (I’ve told her not to as it’s all genuine). I know someone who has been through this process but they never had to go for an interview (I guess it’s pot luck).

My questions are:

(1). Does anyone know what or seen the "Interview Form" and the questions it contain?

(2). What sort of questions will they ask my partner?

(3). Will the officer give a decision on the day?

(4). If successful when does she have to take the medical?

Thank you. :)
