Proof of Maintenance fund as bank letter

Post by sasathorn2 » Wed Jan 19, 2011 11:43 pm

Hi everyone,
I am new to this board but would like to say hi and ask for your advice.

I have saving account in Thailand which I have maintained the funds more than 800GBP for past 3 months as policy suggested. I asked for the bank to provide the letter confirming this and this is the format of the letter they have given me:

Date of the letter produced

Name of account holder:
Account number:
Account opened since:
Current funds available: XXXXX GBP (1 GBP = 48.53 bahts) on the DD/MM/YYYY
Additional comment: The above account has maintained the funds equivalent to more than 800 GBP for the past consecutive 90 days.

The letter was printed on the official bank letter with official bank stamp and employee signature on it.

Is this sufficient as a proof of maintenance funds? I use my payslips and 12 months UK bank account statement for my previous earnings whereas I use Thai saving account to prove maintenance funds.

Thank you very much for your help.
