Perhaps because answers to such basic questions have been posted multiple times and a simple search is all you needed to get the information regarding your queries / doubts.

Anyhow, in answer to your statements / queries:
1. After deducting housing costs such as rent/mortgage and Council Tax, your net income must be at least £333.03 per week (£102.75 for a couple + £57.57 per child x 4) for you to be able to sponsor your family.
2. Any savings you have, will be helpful - in addition to above.
3. Payslips & banks statements to cover 3 months (minimum) to 6 months (ideal) preceding the application.

Thank you so much for your reply sushdmehta. I do have search the forum but cant find any specific information. Yes more or less I have read all UKBA website information regarding how to apply settlement visa and required documents...etc etc. But I fail to get a specific idea how much income would be suffient to sponsor my 6 persons family.

It is the first time I got this figure £102.75 for a couple / £57.57 per child, which is provided by you, now at least I have some kind of idea. Thank you again, I really appreciate your help.

And if we include rent arround £125 per week + CT £32 pw = £157 + £435.78 = £592.78. So its mean I have to earn near £600 per week. which is almost impossible for me at this moment of time.

The question is will UKBA include my tax credit and other benefits for which I am entitled as a british citizen in my net income?

AFAIK, you can include these in your (financial test) calculations.

I am sure someone will correct me if what I have stated above is inaccurate.

Adequate maintenance is assessed on the basis that your income should not be less that you would get if you were living on Income Support. The weekly rate of Income Support for a couple is £102.75.

thank you so much for advise guys.

My employer is my brother, the business is registered and absolutely legtimate, established for more than five years now, but without VAT registration, though he always pay tax and other business fees. he pay me direct debit and also pay NIC.

Is this will be a problem for my case??

If you're asking whether not being VAT registered is a problem ... then no ... providing his income is under the £50k (or whatever it is now) threshold at which you're obliged to start collecting VAT.

If it's above ... it might flag up something on a government computer somehwere ...

In terms of your case ... providing the job is legitimate, and you have pay slips (you do right?) ... and the tax is being deducted - it should be fine for that.

Hi guys, its been very very hard time for me, life feel like a hell because of seprated from family for more then 7 months now.

My wife have taken PEARSON A1 level english test in Hong Kong, they will ISSUE result on 25 july, and certificte on 2 september....feel very helpless.......duhhhh

After above test taken, I ask my wife to take TOEIC in hong kong, because they give you result in 5 days...yesterday she taken test, and seem like got enough score, but my bad luck I only found out now that ETS will issue certificate with Listen and Reading score ONLY   because my wife taken the listen and reading test.

According to UKBA website the requirement is Listen and Speaking, and ETS provide two separate test one is Listen and Reading and one Writing and Speaking....its mean you have to take two test to get UBKA requirement, but the problem is in hong kong they provide ONLY one test which is Listen and Reading.

Feel like an idiot....failed to notice above crucial information when registering.
