Hey Guys, after a gruesome wait... I was given my iLR settlement VISA yesterday. I must say tho, it was worth the wait.
I arrive there with a whole bunch of files, letters, and documents, and all I was actually told was that all they wanted to see are letters address to myself and my partner for two years. As I handed the statements and letters to him, they ripped the first page which has our names and dates on. the rest from pages onwards were given back to us.
It's 6 letters from 3 different sources y'all. If you can't provide enough, supplement them with individual letters address to urself and your partner.
They are keen on council tax bills, bank statements, and utility bills. They didn't ask about savings. Other things they requested for are wage slips and employment letters.
I was a little worried about the 28 days rule at first in that, I had not applied on time - not within the 28 days window anyway but 26 before my visa due to expire. I applied in person as at yesterday, and my visa was due to expire on the 28th of this month.
Unlike other settlement visas that I've heard have expiry dates unless I've mis-interpreted... my iLR settlement does not have an expiry date. I've also read that I can possibly apply for naturalisation as a british in a few months of having my iLR.
Good luck everyone out there intending to apply for iLR.
