Tier 1 - Please help..very urgent

Post by imranhameed2000 » Wed Feb 09, 2011 2:25 pm

i used to get salary in my abbey account til october 2010......since november 2010 i am getting salary in nation wide account.....i am attaching only nation wide statemnt for last 3 months as my maintainence funds...the closing balance for abbey bank account in october was last in negative over drawn....

Wil the case worker wont bother about the abbey bank balance back in october as there are no latest statements attached and will he only consider my nationwide statement for last three statements as i am only attaching these for last 3 months maintanence and salary proof

Just wondering though for your salary proof you will need to provide the older abbey statements.
As far as I know for maintanence the rule is to check the net funds available for the 3 months so assuming you have 2 accounts the sum of credit and negative balances should be greater than the required amount for the entire 90 days.
I assume you will not provide the latest abbey statements given that the account is overdrawn. But the fact that you have are negative in October may cause concern.
It is a bit subjective concern,if your abbey account is not overdrawn for the latest months why not show both to avoid the creation of any doubt.

so long you r maitaining yr balance in one account and OD is separate HO can not mix it up

say in thorey u may have other depoisits in differnet country , ho is not assessing yr net assets so u should be fine

Thanks ..Both

I am still in negative for abbey......

I am really confused and in problem now.

Thanks for the positive assurance Sushil-ACCA.

The problem is they are not familiar with other deposits i might have but as i am submitting the abbey account they will be familiar with this one and may ask latets balance which is still negative.

I think i am in big problem here.

Please advise

Dear Sanjeev

Thank you for your email.

We cannot comment on specific cases or advise as to whether a specific application will satisfy the criteria. I can confirm however that all bank documents submitted with an application are considered when assessing maintenance. Where evidence from two or more accounts is submitted we will consider the funds available to the applicant to be the aggregate balance of these accounts.

For example if one account is £3000 in credit and the second account is £1000 overdrawn, we would consider the applicant to have £2000 of funds available to them.

I hope this helps to clarify our policy in this area.

Kind regards

@JASON23:

I totally agree with you...but in my case i am submitting just one evidence for maintainaince that is my nation wide statment for salary and also for funds....

The abbey will not be in picture after october....

"Where evidence from two or more accounts is submitted we will consider the funds available to the applicant to be the aggregate balance of these accounts". this is not the case in my application as nationwide will be the only one with latest statements and no other statement will be attached apart deom abbey till october.

Once again thanks to sage....

Also thanks to Jason..

Cheers guys

No problem Imran, just thought you should be aware of the full picture.
Your situation seems tricky and I doubt anyone here will be answer your question with 100% certainity which is what you should require.

Your best option is to email them explaining the circumstances and see what they say or if you can afford to go through a recruitment consultant.
In my opinion 9 out 10 cases like yours the caseworker doesn't question anything. It is up to you to decide how you want to eliminate that small chance of doubt.
All the best!

Are you submitting your Abbey statements as salary evidence? If so, do they show the balance as overdrawn at the end?

Yes i am submitting abbet statement till oct 2010....taht shows negative figure at the end.

But please note that no abbey statements are submitted for the period of after oct 2010. only nationwide is submitted for last 4 months as a proof of maintainance and salar.
