SET ( M ) final checks

Post by ferrarilondon » Wed Feb 16, 2011 12:44 pm

Dear Members and gurus,

Thank you very much for a great helpful forum that help thousands of people, my quick question is i am goin to Solihull PEO in couple of weeks time for SET ( M ) and want to check with some experienced people if the documents are OK accoding to the requirement,

Barclays statements 2009-2011 ( JOINT )
Tenancy agreement ( JOINT )
EDF gas and electricity bills for 2 years ( JOINT )
Thames water 4 bills spreading over 2 years ( JOINT)
HM revinue and customs ( tax credits and WTC ) ( JOINT )
Council tax bills ( JOINT )
Credit card bills ( mine )
Bank statement ( wife's )
Bank statemets ( mine )

Also as ia m self employed my last year earning statement and accountant;s letter.
and yes offcourse LIUK test

My main concern is my wife being british claims, Child benefit, CTC, WTC ( as ia m working ) and part Housing benefit. but none of the above benefits are on my name, on tax credits are joint as per instructions from HM revinue and customs.

I hope ia m not asking for more but please over look and tell me if the file looks OK and do i need to submit photocopies.

Thanks

hi there
i would not advice you to send them benefits record of you wife,as that may affect it they dont like that ,also i think they clearly state that you and you wife would not use public funds whene applying in the first place
i think its only the child benefit that acceptable .
in my opinion that is risk.
i advice not sending them and hope they wwon't found out
but please talk to a solicitor befor you do anything..

ps;that was just opinion , i heard that before,so just carful

good luck

Thank you very much for your concern, but i am sure after reading so many posts and having a confirmation from Benefit Guru John that applying tax credits etc wont harm the application according to immigration para 6 a couple should be applying as a couple not single. in my case we are applying CTC and WTC as couple and Mrs is applying child benefit separate. Also on housing benefit its my Mrs name and our kids. Since they all British they are entitle to. thanks again for concern
