Tier -1 extension earning

Post by drath » Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:36 pm

Hi

I got my Tier-1 visa valid till june-2012.

I got two questions regarding earning category for Tier-1 visa extension.

1. How many months of salary I need to produce as evidence as a part of my earning?
Is it same rule of 12 consecutive months out of last any 15 months that was applicable when I was originally granted Tier-1 leave or anything different?

2. Do I require to produce the payslips (earnings) for each of those months of that earning period or I can produce discontinued payslips and still eligible for extension because the total earning is more than what is required to score sufficient points for earning qualification.

E.g : I need to show £40,000 to get qualify in earning category.

If I require to show 12 months earning , can I produce payslips for month-1 to month4 and three months gap (month- 5 to month-7) because I am not working on those periods and again payslip for month-8 to month-12 and as a total of 9 months earning I am fetching more than £40,000.

So in this case will I be eligible for Tier-1 extension although I am not producing all the 12 months payslips (earning).

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

Reading the policy guidance should help.

Detailed information about the changes announced by UKBA yesterday will be known in the next month. Be patient and wait until then to ascertain whether any changes will affect you.
