Please help me choose one path to pursue..

Post by xtreemneo » Sun Feb 20, 2011 4:49 pm

I believe in community advice rather than leaving things to hopeless rumors..

Hello room..
I will pen down my situation as legible as possible.
I came into the country on 26th sep 2009.. In the same hope as most people that I will study hard and earn then keep my family happy..

Direct University Student..
My MBA in Information Technology Management course is of two parts.. 1 year academic and 1 year work placement.. I paid full fees for two year credits in the start..
My visa expires by 30 jan 2012..
Am not covered in CAS.. I submitted unconditional letter (old system) to get my visa..

I had so many problems and didn't study properly.. Unfortunately I had to repeat the course.. From SEP '10...
So I am doing my academic part of my course again from SEP '10..
Now I have to pay for my academic part of the course which could be paid in two parts.. I have paid first part and yet to pay second part of fees.. I don't have to pay for the work placement credits cuz I never attended and never failed.. So my previous payment is carried over.. but not my VISA...

I had to extend my VISA to do my work placement.. which am really struggling.. If i don't do my work placement, I will get MA in International Business degree but not MBA in Information Technology Management..

If i have to extend my VISA now to do work placement, I will have to show £1200 for a period of 30 days in my bank account including a CAS letter...
During my unfortunate periods, I lost my original documents including my degree certificates and school mark sheets.. I cant really apply for a CAS letter.. I need to go back to India and apply for a duplicate documents to apply for CAS..

Speaking of which, My Uni is advising me that since am not covered in CAS system they can give me CAS letter for the first time now with out verification as I have submitted my scanned documents during my admission in 2009..but also they are saying that I should have paid the full fees..
Since I have not yet paid my second part of my academic year fees.. They cant actually give me CAS letter unless i do that...

Please advice me on,

Which one of the following is a better choice?

1) I haven't paid second part of my academic year's fees ie £3000..
Is it a good idea to put in hard work into (working part time, parent cant afford fees) arranging this and showing £1200 in my bank acc for the month of MAR '11 and applying for extension in APR '11 for SEP 2011 to SEP 2012 work placement before the CAS rules might change in APRIL '11 (this has to advised after considering that I have lost documents and need to go back to India to get duplicates which is not realistically possible in my financial and TERM 2 classes situation..)

so that I get MBA in Information Technology Management degree after work placement in SEP 2012..
Which might rule out the eligibility of PSW in 2012 as I am applying for extension now that means am no longer in the old system.. if they decide to take out the PSW Tier 1 system in this Aprils decision.. am not sure..

< or >
2)
2.1) I haven't paid second part of my academic year's fees ie £3000.. which could be paid unofficially into any number of payments for any amount.. So is it okay not to stress out and pay out the remaining £3000 fees before JULY '11 slowly and no matter what changes in APRIL decisions by the govt... go ahead and get the MA in International Management in SEP 2011 and get PSW and start earning and settle the debts.. (provided PSW still exists in April'11 decisions for in country students in old system under transitional arrangements or something )

<or>

2.2) go ahead and finish of the payment for £3000 slowly before July '11 (this month is the first proposal for my dissertation hence I should have paid in my fees before this), get the MA degree.. and apply for DANISH Greencard scheme (just an option).. and get the PSW like work permit there for three years and start a new life there,,
(Provided nothing drastically changes in Denmark Immigration Board before OCT '11..)
<or>

2.3) Anything at all, Please tell me on your own.. am confused like in hell now..

Thanks,
Delta matter

Students in the UK under the Immigration Rules in place before 31 March 2009 wrote:You will retain the terms and conditions of your stay in the UK associated with the old rules, until your current permission to stay expires. But if you want to extend your stay in the UK as a student, you will need to apply to us under Tier 4 of the points-based system.
Evaluate your options with this fact in mind that to remain in UK beyond Jan-12, you'll need a CAS (amongst other thngs) to apply for leave to remain (extension) under the Tier 4 (student) PBS scheme.

No one can tell you today what the rules will be with regards to Tier 1 (PSW) in the future! If anyone says otherwise, he is either lying or just speculating. Neither helps you!

Seems to be reasonable and correct..
But, am struck in the middle..
I don't come under the "Before March '09 category..."
I am with Tier 4 Visa without CAS which i have applied in the SEP'09..

Does this state still apply for me>?

You have to provide evidence on the date of the application evidence(s) as specified in the policy guidance in force on that day.
