help plz! switching from PSW to Tier 2

Post by raoul1987 » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:47 am

i just woke up dreaming about my application process. i read 2 conflicting stories regarding sending evidence to claim that u worked for your employer for the last 6 months.

when u read on UKBA website it says the following:
What documents you must send

You must send two pieces of evidence that you have worked for your sponsor for at least the last six months before you apply. (You do not need to have worked in the same job for the full six months.)
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... udyworker/

however i only sent one, as on the actual application form it only asked for one from the way i understood it. on the application form it says:

L
2. Select what supporting evidence the applicant has sent as proof of working for the full specified period (6 months if switching from a post-study category, 12 months if this is an Intra-Company Transfer: Established Staff application, 3 months if this is an Intra-Company Transfer: Graduate Trainee application)::
Either:
Payslips covering the full specified period from the applicant’s sponsor;
Or
Personal bank statements showing payments made to the applicant covering the full specified period from the applicant’s sponsor;
Or
Building society pass book showing payments made to the applicant covering the full specified period from the applicant’s sponsor;

i am anxious at the moment, what to do! this will give them a reason to reject my application as they would love to issue less visas. can i send the 2nd evidence now, who to and how do i relate to my application form.

simply what to do :(
thanks

my problem relies with the world EITHER!
at the time filling the form, i understood it as EITHER i.e this one or that one as in one evidence only, but now i am under the impression that it means BOTH i.e 2 evidences.

but then why complicate things and provide 2 other options with OR in between. its driving me crazy. they could have said CHOOSE TWO of the following, or CHOOSE one of the following. NOT BLOODY CHOOSE EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING.

:( that's not fair, what shall i do now?

it is ok

it's ok one evidence would do. previously they asked for 2 evidences, but now rule has been changed and u need one evidence. it is also reflected on latest versions of application form ( u also noted). remember, websites are not always fully updated. its is better to follow policy guidance rather than websites.

i came home and found a delivery note from DX secure, i tried to rearrange the delivery is its for my passport regarding my application form probably. the nearest date is next tuesday so i changed delivery date to a neighbour and i will give them prove of ID.

is there a way i can find the outcome of my application before tuesday?

will it be my passport or the biometric card that usually gets delivered via DX secure?

regards

if u are switching frm PSW to tier 2, u do not need to prove maintenance u automatically score points for that. However u still need to prove that u have been working for this employer for 6 months so u need 6 moths pay slips as a proof. additional letter from employer may also be helpful.

before u apply, make sure u are getting payed appropriate rate as stated in code of practice+ u are doing same job at the time of application.

Thank you very much for your advice:

Will the letter need a stamp or a logo on it will do?
I can provide payslip but will the amount affects my application?
Or I just need to prove that I have worked there... (Part time or Full time will it matters?)
regardness of my skill level.

Many thanks
