whats the relation of cheque for 60 pounds with your ILR application.

As pe UKBA's website, they decide 95% of applications within 6 months of submission. So no one can help you predict an exact date when you will hear back from UKBA.

all you can do is keep calling them every couple of weeks.

Overpayment of what? ILR?

you calling has no affect at all on decision making. calls are answered by call centre staff who have no direct say in deciding your application.
