1. Did you apply for entry clearance (outside the UK) or leave to remain (in-country application)?
2. If entry clearance, what date did you enter UK as an HSMP migrant?
3. If leave to remain, what is the date of issue of "leave to remain" vignette?

Don't understand what the "stamping date" means.

Under current directions, you may apply for settlement no earlier than 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date of issue of "leave to remain" as an HSMP migrant.

I just got 2 dates

1) Hsmp approval date - 06 Jun 2006
2) The stamp on the passport says 26 Jun 2006

date of issue of "leave to remain" - Will that be approval date or the date on the visa (passport)

Date of issue of leave to remain is the date of issue mentioned on the vignette / visa / stamp.

HSMP approval or entry clearance date (date on which entry clearance was issued) has no relevance for settlement application.
