Tier 1 dependent visa granted...

Post by antouk » Fri Feb 25, 2011 6:49 am

Hi all,

Thought of sharing my experience on Tier 1 dependent visa for my new born from chennai.

Country of application - India
City of Visa Application Centre - Chennai
Date of application/submission - 8/Feb/2011
Date Entry Clearance valid from - 23/Feb/2011
Duration for Entry Clearance - Till my visa
Date passport received - 24/Feb/2011

Total working days(including date of application) : 12 days

I submitted following documents:

1. Application form.
2. Photographs.
3. Child's Passport.
4. Child's birth certificate.
5. Introduction letter.
6. Self attested passport copies of father(all pages) & mother(front page, back page & visa page).
7. Barclays statement with stamp from the branch(took a printout from the machine at the branch, it gave me transactions for about an year) - maintenance
8. HSBC statement showing recent salary credits - Went to the nearby HSBC branch, requested for a statement, they printed it on a HSBC stationary, got a stamp on that. Initially the lady at the counter hesitated to put a stamp, but i requested them, she went inside and came back with a small stamp on the statement(not even visible).
9. Salary slips(3 weeks, i was paid weekly).
10. Original Contract letter.
11. Letter from the employer.
12. Marriage certificate(original).
13. No objection letter from mother.
14. Rental agreement.

I was out of work for almost 2 months till Christmas. I got a contract in january. I got 3 payments(weekly) till end of jan. So i attached 3 weekly payslips and its bank credits. Payslips were on a plain paper.

I took the bank statements on 4/Feb. Sent it to chennai thru DHL on 5/Feb morning. They received all the document on 7/Feb evening and applied visa on tuesday(8/feb).

Let me know if you need more information from me.

Thanks a ton for the forum members.

cheers
