Tier1 after April2011?

Post by hsyasin » Tue Mar 01, 2011 10:26 am

I am just confused now after looking at this fees table:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... g-2011.pdf

does this means that people within uk can still apply for Tier1 General as a fresh applicant?

If your read it carefully, there is no Tier1 General in Outside the UK category

It only says:-
Tier 1 (Entrepreneur, Investor, Exceptional Talent) - Main Apps

Thanks for ur response, but I'm asking for applications made from within the UK.
Because all i've been reading from the past 3-4months is that there will be no Tier1 General from April2011. not even within the uk so this fees chart is confusing me.

And if u take a look at these new fees:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... g-2011.pdf

on page 5, first line of the PBS ROUTES In UK table, it says
Tier 1 - Postal Main (General, Entrepreneur, Investor, Exceptional Talent)
and proposed fees are £1000 from April2011

And you are "assuming" that this statement is meant for (or includes) "new" applicants, and not for those who are already in the UK as Tier 1 (General) migrants who may be wishing to apply for extension (leave to remain).

yes sushdmehta, it kinda popped into my head as well, that yes they want us to assume that this is for Tier1 extension and not new application.. but they shd've said so, m sure it'll mislead alot of people.
