Hi
I was granted ILR on Friday 25.02.11 with ease upon completion of my 5 year on WP+Tier2 visas.
My marriage took place in August 2010 and my spouse accompanied me to the UK on Tier 2 dependent visa which was issued in Sept 2010. We are living together since Sept 2010 in the UK.
Since Friday 25.02.2011 my status was changed to Indefinite, Settled Person.
1. I guess my wife Visa status must be updated to Dependant of a settled person through FLR (M) – is this statement right?
2. Can I update my wife status in December 2011 when her existing dependant visa expires? Or need to apply for change due immediate effect of my ILR status?
3. We are planning for a Europe trip in April 2011; (We will apply Schengen visa to travel in Europe) I’m wondering will there be any problem from Border agency for my wife when she enter the UK after the Europe trip on her existing Tier 2 dependant visa. [As stated she was granted Tier 2 dependant visa when my status was Tier 2 General then, however my status in now Settled person.]
4. In general – I heard my wife cannot enter UK on her Tier 2 Dependant visa because my status was changed. She should change her status if she wish to travel out and in to the UK. – is this statement right?
Documents query for FLR (M)
1. FLR (M) application clearly states I need to provide 6 different documents bearing our names together or individual names for the past 2 years. – Its been only 6 months since she came to the UK and more over there is only document on her name (electricity bill) to prove that she is residing with me in that address.
2. My house rental agreement was on my name and I can able to produce a letter from my letting agent confirming my wife is staying with me. ( but home office require 2 years) my situation might occur to someone in the past I’m looking for an answer……someone please shed some light on this
3. She applied for a bank account but still in process.
4. She is not working and doesn’t have any NI number yet.
5. She has NHS card on her name and registered with local GP.
6. I have our original marriage certificate with us for proof of marriage.
7. How much money I should show in my bank for this purposes.
